Bloating, gas, indigestion & acidity are the most common issues most Indians have due to their masala rich foods, oil-laden rotis & gravies. And also we don't hydrate ourselves properly for the food to travel smoothly down our intestine.
Following are the list of the foods that should be eaten every day or the night before in order to clear your bowels every day.
➲Mint: It eases symptoms associated with indigestion.
➲Dill seeds: Take Saunf (variyali) & Jeera & roast gently on a tawa. Take ¹/₂ tsp. of this mixture at one time. This mixture can be taken every 3-4 hours.
➲Honey Lemon remedy: Combine equal quantities of honey along with 1 Tsp. lemon juice & 1 tsp. of ginger juice. Take 1 tsp. of this mix. 2-3 times a day to fight indigestion.
➲Chutneys: Chutney is an important ingredient that accompanies Indian food. The chutney that helps in digestion should include mint, coriander, green chilies, lemon juice & ginger. All these ingredients have components that help your body absorb nutrients, cool the digestive tract & enhance the body.
➲Caraway Seeds (Shahjeera): Take a liter of water & add 1 Tsp of Caraway seeds. Boil it & drink it while warm. Have this water 3-4 times a day for a week. Caraway seeds help douse out the acidity.
➲Infusions: Infusions of ginger, peppermint & chamomile work great for digestion. Simply steep for 10 minutes in hot water, strain & drink at least twice a day, generally an hour after meals.
➲Lemon: Add a dash of lemon juice to your food-- the enzymes in the lemon break down toxins in the system & aid digestion.
➲Hing (Asafoetida): Mix 1 tablespoon ( tbsp. ) and warm water & drink it.
➲Ajwain: Roast some ajwain seeds, Chew them after meals, best for indigestion & gas.
➲Tulsi leaves: Have few Tulsi leaves daily on empty stomach. , will help to build immunity & better digestion.
➲Aloe vera: Cut an aloe vera branch, peel off the green cover to get a translucent jelly in between & drink this every morning to have smoother motions.
➲Have a small piece of jaggery after each meal.
➲Take 1 tsp. of jeera after food. Chew it properly.
