So, for a new buyer, it is really hard to navigate the car dealership scene not only in Nairobi but also in other cities and towns in the country. So, I have created a list of the best car dealerships and showrooms in Kenya, mostly dealing with new vehicles.
1) DT Dobie
With branches in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisumu, and Eldoret DT Dobie is one of the oldest and most trusted car dealerships in Kenya. They sell a wide range of vehicles including Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, GWM, and Hyundai. And have previously been distributors of Nissans and Jeeps in Kenya. 2) Toyota Kenya
Toyota fully owns and operates Toyota Kenya. And this provides a lot of benefits if you are a Kenyan buyer. Since Toyota is arguably the most reliable and trusted vehicle brand, this is most people’s preferred car dealership. 3) Jaguar Land Rover Kenya
Jaguar Land Rover Kenya is located in Westlands on the ground floor of Oracle Tower. Porsche Centre Nairobi is the only dealership in Kenya where you can find the full Porsche model range all under one roof and in one showroom. Since Porsche Centre is the official Porsche Shop, genuine spare parts and servicing are also offered here. If you love sports cars and Porsches you need to visit this showroom.
5) CMC Motors
Founded in Nairobi in 1912 Cooper Motor Corporation is the oldest car importer and assembly company in Kenya. Having assembled Fords, Nissans, Iveco, Škoda’s, and Mazda’s, CMC has a really impressive resume under its belt. But other than car assembly, they also sell vehicles such as Ford’s, Mazda’s, and Suzuki’s.
6) Toyotsu Automart Kenya
Located opposite Nyayo Stadium, Toyotsu Automart is a favorite dealership among many Kenyans. They not only sell pre-owned vehicles but also offer trade-ins and upgrades if you own a Toyota and want to buy a different one. This dealership is owned by Toyota Tsusho Corporation. This a subsidiary of Toyota Group, which ensures they sell not only Toyotsu Certified used cars but also only use genuine parts for repairs. One of their other unique services is Duty-Free Car Imports for UN NGOs and diplomats.
7) Nissan Kenya

Simba Corp, headquartered in Nairobi are dealers in Renault, Fuso, Mahindra, Proton, and Mitsubishi vehicles. They not only sell vehicles but also offer other services such as car maintenance, parts, and service for all car models. Simba Corp also offers fleet management services and vehicle financing services. Their assembly plant in Kenya manufactures Proton Saga vehicles for the Kenyan market.
10) Cica Motors Kenya
Located along Mombasa Road, Cica Motors Ltd is one of the CFAO Automotive subsidiaries in Kenya. Cica Motors is the exclusive distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Kenya. This enables them to have access to original spare parts and manufacturer-trained staff. Cica Motors Kenya also offers trade-ins for old cars which is a big plus when you are planning on replacing an old vehicle.
