SECURITY FEATURES

The student access into the building is through biometric access, which means that only the student is granted access to the main accommodation area. In addition, the student rooms can only be accessed through the access card issued to the occupants.

In addition, there is lift access throughout the main building. And fire suppression equipment running throughout the communal spaces as well as in the rooms. With CCTV conveniently placed throughout the building, ensuring that student properties are safe and secure.

QWETU HOSTEL LOUNGES AREA

It is a nice place where the student can relax, watch TV and enjoy free Wifi access and play games.

ROOMS TYPES AND FEATURES AT QWETU HOSTELS

There are four different types of rooms at Qwetu hostels this include

Premium Room

The premium room comes in with several other amenities such as a standard fridge, microwave, hot water kettle, and an induction burner.

Extra amenities for the premium room include a sandwich maker, once-a-week cleaning to the premium room, spacious storage units, and the premium rooms have a TV installed that has access to DSTV cable TV channels and a queen-size bed.

Double Twin without Partition and Double Room With partition.

The room has similar appliances to the premium room, such as Microwave, kettle, fridge, study lamp, kitchen, induction cooker, study chair, study desk, except for the sandwich maker and TV.

Each bedside has sites own storage, shelf, and study table. The bathroom is ensuite. However, the students have to share one bathroom.

The Qwetu hostel double room is recommendable for people who like staying together, such as friends or siblings.

For the students who prefer a little bit of privacy and are on a budget, then the double room with a partition is ideal. The main feature between a double twin without partition and a double room with partition is the partition system.

Cluster Room

This room looks more similar to a studio apartment. The rooms have a study table, shelf, standard storage, fridge, and ensuite bathroom.

The cluster room is made up of six rooms and shares a common area such as the kitchen. The cluster room is ideal for friends or a group of people with the same interest.

1. Qwetu Hostel Ruaraka Branch

The residence is located near Allsops, Ruaraka off Thika Road, 20 minutes drive from USIU, a 5 minutes drive from KCA University, and near Garden City mall and TRM Mall.

Hosts more than 500 residents from various Universities and Colleges such as USIU, KCA University, Kenyatta University (KU), Zetech University, Africa Nazarene, Griffins College, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), and many more.

2. Wilson View Qwetu student residence

The residence is located a 5-minute walk from Strathmore University and a 10-minute drive from Daystar University and Nairobi CBD. It is near T- Mall, Java Mbagathi Way, Wilson Airport, and Galleria Mall.

Hosts more than 700 residents from various Universities and Colleges such as Strathmore University, Riara University, Daystar University, Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), BOMA, a variety of aviation colleges, and many more

3. Qwetu Jogoo Road student hostels

Its located 20 minutes drive from the University of Nairobi main campus, 10 minutes drive to Strathmore University, and 25 minutes to Nairobi CBD (Central Business District)

Yes. Qwetu Jogoo Road and Qwetu Ruaraka have buses that transport students to and from their respective learning institutions at a fee.

How much does it cost to live at Qwetu?

Rates start from KES 12,000 a month but the prices will vary depending on the location of residence, room types, facility packages, and other value-added services

What documents do I need to provide?

An applicant needs to provide a valid current ID (either a national ID for Kenyans or a Passport for non-Kenyans), a copy of a recent photo, and a completed Booking Form, which is found on www.qwetu.co.ke.
