The Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) has announced the names of shortlisted candidates who applied for the Enforcement Constable jobs famously known as ‘kanjo’.
In a statement released today, the Major General Mohammed
Badi – led NMS has also revealed that interviews are set to begin on Wednesday,
December 1 to Thursday, December 2, 2021.
According to NMS, some 2,113 individuals were shortlisted
for the enforcement officers’ jobs and the first lot of 1,063 individuals will
be interviewed on December 1 from 8:00 a.m.
The remaining 1,050 individuals will be interviewed on
Thursday from 8:00 a.m.
Both interviews will be conducted at The City Stadium.
How to Check If You Were Shortlisted
The applicants are asked to visit NMS website www.nms.go.ke, check the Resources
section then go to Downloads section to access and download the two lists of
shortlisted candidates.
The candidates are required to take note of the dates they
should attend the interviews and show up in time.
“The list of the shortlisted candidates has been published
in the NMS website and members of the public are therefore advised to visit:
www.nms.go.ke for the full list.
“The shortlisted candidates are required to appear for the
interviews and physical checks at the City Stadium premises on the date and
time indicated against their names,” the statement in part.
The interviewees are also required to carry their original
National Identification Card (ID), relevant academic certificates, and a valid
Certificate of Good Conduct.
They are also required to have appropriate sportswear
because they will participate in various physical exercises as well.
The NMS in collaboration with City Hall advertised the 500
enforcement officers’ jobs in October with an aim of improving the city
development programs.
Nairobi County had already allocated Ksh180 million for the
recruitment of the new officers.
