Student Developers pack gives students free access to
various tools that world-class developers use. The pack contains more than 100
tools ranging from Data Science, Gaming, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality,
APIs, Integrated Development Environments, Version Control Systems, Cloud
Hosting Platforms, Code tutorials, BootCamps, and Continuous Integration platforms,
payment platforms, and lots more.
The tools included in this pack are mostly premium but
provided with discounts or free only for students. This is a great resource for
new learners.
Who is Eligible for this pack?
- Be
currently enrolled in a degree or diploma-granting course of study.
- Have
a verifiable school-issued email address or school documents that prove
your current student status.
- Have
a GitHub user account
- Be
at least 13 years old.
How to apply for this pack?
1. Go to GitHub Student developer pack
2. Click on the Get your pack tab.
3. Select and add student email provided by the university
at the time of admission.
( eg; nevinegeoffrey@students.ku.ac.ke, navinegeoffrey@uonbi.ac.ke)
4. Upload proof of your academic status if you do not have a
university/school-issued email Address.
5. Enter your school/university name & click Submit.
NOTE: If your registered mail is different in GitHub, please
add another mail that is issued by your school. After that, you can select the
email from the option on the developers pack enrollment page. The confirmation
mail and OTP will be sent on both mails so don’t forget to check emails that
are given on GitHub.
If your application is approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Applications are usually processed within a few days, but it may take longer during peak times, such as 28 days or so. I got mine within 72 hours :)
