After the country’s general election on August 9, 2022, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission invites candidates for interviews for the positions of chief, deputy chief and election officer.
All successful candidates are then selected in preparation
for this year’s general elections, an exercise that allows Kenyans to choose
their leaders.
This is part of the remuneration paid to IEBC contract staff
who conducted the August polls.
The person in charge of the TPS is Ksh. 2000 daily for 13 days.
Deputy Chief Ksh. 1,800 per day for 13 days to help officers
in the management of TPS.
The Polling/Counting Officer is responsible for the actual
voting process of Ksh.1,000 for nine days.
Supporting election trainers are paid Ksh 2,000 per day for 15 days to guide presiding officers and their deputies in the basics of election work.
Voter teachers assigned to impart civic education to voters
shall be paid Ksh 1,500 per day for 30 days.
Pay one thousand five hundred shillings to the logistics
staff to work 30 days before the election
