Job Description/Requirements

In line with the Government’s commitment to support youth empowerment, Kenya Power is offering continuing Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma students on various programs an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on work experience and develop key employability skills. The industrial attachment opportunities are available in various departments for a maximum period of three (3) months effective January to March 2025.

Requirements Interested candidates should:
1. Be available full-time for the duration of the program (3 months).
2. Be a continuing student pursuing a Degree or diploma from a recognized institution
3. Have a valid introduction letter from the learning institution

N.B: Students pursuing the following Certificate programs are also encouraged to apply:

  • • Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering
  • • Vocational Education Training (TVET) and Technical Education Program (TEP) examined by KNEC in
  • • Carpentry and joinery
  • • Building technology (mason, plumber)
  • • Welding and fabrication
  • • Plumbing
  • • Land Surveying

HOW TO APPLY

Interested persons should submit their applications online by visiting the Kenya Power website: http://www.kplc.co.ke under the Public Information tab and Career Opportunities section. Applications should be received no later than Monday, 25th November 2024. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.

Only candidates offered employment shall be expected to present the following clearance certificates;

  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations
  • Valid Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
  • Valid Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
  • Current Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC);
  • Current Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
