Here is a detailed guide on how to apply online for primary and secondary school internships with the Teachers Service Service Commission (TSC) in 2024.
TSC Internship Positions
TSC intends to recruit thousands of jobless graduates
to meet the government’s requirement of student-to-teacher ratio in secondary
and primary schools in Kenya and also provide adequate staff for junior
secondary schools across the nation as part of ensuring the Competency-Based
Curriculum (CBC) rolls out well.
Secondary school interns will be paid ksh. 15,000 per month while primary school interns will be earn Kenya shillings 10,000 monthly after statutory deductions from Ksh 20,000.
There are a total of 25,550 available in intern vacancies. 4,000 for primary school teachers interns and 21,550 for secondary school teachers interns.
The internship will last for a period of 12 months. After
completing the internship, the teacher will be awarded certificates.
Requirements of TSC Internship application
To be a TSC intern, you must meet the following
requirements;
- Be Registered
with TSC
- Be
below 35 years of age
- Have
an insurance cover
- Certificate
of Good Conduct
- Minimum
of p1 certificate for primary school interns applicants
- Minimum
of a diploma in education for secondary school interns
How to apply for TSC Internship jobs Online
- Visit: tsc.go.ke
- At the
top of the website go to the CAREERS menu
- Then
go to Recruitment of teachers
- then
click on Apply for Teachers Internship positions.
- You
will be redirected to TSC hrmis App where you will have to apply
- Fill
the required information to the last page until you complete your
online application form.
Option 2: Alternatively go to https://teachersonline.tsc.go.ke and
click on Recruitment of Teacher intern link, login and apply.
Any one of the two methods of application provided above
should work.
UPDATE: If you notice that the
application website is slow or has errors, or if you are seeing 2024 recruitment is now closed, then try applying later when the portal is
active.
NOTE: Manual application forms are not accepted by TSC.
Key Things To Note When Applying For TSC 2024 Teaching Jobs
TSC Recruitment Portal is working as usual. For those making
applications, kindly take note of the following:
1) Do the application by yourself so that you be sure of
unlike the other time when many were cheated and didn't succeed during the
interviews.
2) ln case you apply using your gadget (smartphone) and it
fails ,turn it to landscape mode(view)
3) If it still fails after several attempts, use a
laptop/desktop as some smartphones( those with less than 3 GB RAM) have
challenges in carrying out the process
4) Currently, a maximum of one county/Sub-county is allowed
for each slot (as per the system) i.e
(a) Intern one chance
(b) p &p one chance
5) If you proceed to apply for the second one, it will
automatically delete the 1st one and be replaced with the later
6) Once you click on Submit (you will see, "Submitted
successful" meaning the process/application is successful
7) In case you are not sure whether it's successful or not,
just log in a fresh you will see the county/Sub-county you applied for . If
